UPDATE: Russian bulk freighter still in Turkish port, no decision

(rewrites story)

ANKARA, Jul 4 (PRIME) – A Russian bulk freighter allegedly carrying Ukrainian grain that was detained in Turkey on Sunday, is still in the port, a Turkish customs source told PRIME on Monday.

“No, there is no decision. She is at the entrance to the port,” the source said.

Ukraine’s Ambassador to Turkey Vasily Bodnar said on Sunday that a decision will be made at a meeting on Monday.

Previously, Kazakhstan Railways sent an inquiry to the Russian lessee of the dry cargo ship Zhibek Zholy, demanding to clarify the origin of the grain transported from the Ukrainian city of Berdyansk to Turkey. Some media reported that Ukrainian grain was exported through Berdyansk Commercial Seaport by Zhibek Zholy.
